As part of the celebrations for World Metrology Day and the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Metre Convention in Paris, LNEC hosted internal visits to its laboratories from 21 to 23 May.

UQTA, the Water Treatment and Quality Laboratory, part of the Urban Water Unit, actively participated in this initiative. During the visits, UQTA staff and colleagues had the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the laboratory’s role in supporting research and development (R&D) within the unit.

Among the projects presented, the LIFE Fitting project was a key highlight. Visitors viewed the project film and received informative leaflets outlining its objectives and achievements. They were also encouraged to explore the LIFE Fitting website to learn more about the project’s scope, innovation, and real-world impact.
